Ruthie Lee Stubblefield

Ruthie “Sista” Stubblefield was born on June 24, 1942, in Trinity, Texas, to the late Armstead Stubblefield and Lucienda Short-Stubblefield. She attended Trinity High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. 

Ruthie was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a warm spirit and a loving heart. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and those she loved. Ruthie was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment with her loved ones. She was the proud mother of one daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Stubblefield.

On Sunday, February 22, 2026, God called Ruthie home to be reunited with her parents, Armstead and Lucienda Short-Stubblefield, her granddaughter, Amanda Stubblefield; and her siblings: Rosie Lee “Sweet,” Lucienda “Plunk,” Earl, Estella, John, Hattie, Roberta, Ollie Mae, Fred, J.B., Priscilla, Alice, Ethel, and Armstead Jr., along with several nieces and nephews who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her brother, Clayton Stubblefield; her daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Stubblefield; her granddaughters, Jessica (Fred) and Veronica; her great-grandchildren, Garron Jr., Diana, Zamir, and Emily; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
